Trinka A. Douglas, RN, MSN, ACNP-BC joined our group in November 2018. She has been a nurse practitioner in Cardiology for many years. She grew up in this area attending Stratford High School, always knowing that she wanted to be in medicine. In 1999, she graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor's Degree in in Nursing. It is there that her love of cardiology and critical care began. After working for one year in CVIUC and two years in outpatient Cardiology, Trinka decided to further her career. She attended the University of Texas Arlington and obtained her Master's Degree in Nursing and became a Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Since graduation in 2005, she has worked in Cardiology in Texas and here in the Lowcountry. In her off time she enjoys playing pickleball with her husband and spending quality time with her teenage son and other grown children and grandchildren.
