Mark Mataosky, MD

Description

Dr. Mataosky grew up on a horse farm in Maryland. Graduated from Loyola College then went to Georgetown University School of Medicine. He joined the Army after College. He completed Flight training at Ft Rucker and then Special Forces training at Ft Bragg. He completed his medical training while in the Military. After completing his internship in 1990 he was deployed to Desert Shield. He is a Colonel in the USAR with 35 years of service. He went through 9 Deployments to include 5 to Iraq and Kuwait, Egypt, Bosnia and Afghanistan. He was awarded ARCOMs (7), Meritorious Service Medals (4), Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, NATO, Expeditionary Medals, and Bronze Star (2) unit. He is married with a set of twins. He loves spending time with family, like boating with his son and volleyball with his daughter. He considers himself very fortunate and proud to provide Cardiovascular health service to the Low Country.
