Frederick Funke, MD

Description

Dr. Funke is a native of Summerville, SC, where he grew up and attended Summerville High School. He remained in the area to pursue his undergraduate degree at the College of Charleston, where he studied biology and founded the college’s club tennis team. He moved on to the Medical University of South Carolina to study medicine. He graduated with a Doctorate of Medicine in 2007 from medical school and decided to stay near the ocean for training in internal medicine in Charleston. Deeply rooted in his local community, he pursued a fellowship in cardiology and interventional cardiology at the Medical University in Charleston and is fortunate enough to serve the community where he was raised.
